Nandini Travels is a family-run Himachal tour operator from Matour, a village a few minutes from Brajeshwari Mata Mandir. Founder Arvind takes every booking himself and assigns the right driver and car from our small Kangra-based fleet.
How it started
Nandini Travels began in 2018 with one car, one driver and one Etios sedan parked outside a small house in Matour, a village a few minutes from Brajeshwari Mata Mandir. The driver was Arvind. The car was named after his daughter, Nandini.
Eight years and 200+ Google reviews later, the name on the door is the same. What has grown is the team. A handful of trusted hill drivers from Kangra and Palampur now run our routes, all of them friends or family of Arvind, all of them living within an hour of the office.
We stayed small on purpose. Every booking — solo, family, honeymoon, senior yatra — still passes through Arvind's phone first. He picks the right driver and the right car for your group, and stays on WhatsApp from the day you ask until the day you reach home.
In Arvind's own words
Namaste. I am Arvind, from Matour, a small village near Kangra. I have been running tours across Himachal for eight years. Most mornings I stop at Brajeshwari Mata Mandir for a quick darshan before I start the car. Old habit. Jai Mata Di.
The road is my work, but it is also home. I know which turn has a tea stall worth stopping at, which pass closes when it snows, and which hotel still answers the phone at midnight. On our tours you travel at our pace — slow where it should be slow, quiet where it should be quiet.
It is no longer just me. Kapil, Vinkal and Shammi drive the routes I cannot personally take that week — all of them Kangra locals I have known for years. But every booking still lands on my phone first. I pick the driver. I pick the car. No fleet pool, no commission middlemen. You book direct, and that is enough.
