Chamunda Devi, on the Baner river below the Dhauladhar, is one of the valley’s important Shakti temples; from there the road runs east through Palampur’s tea estates to Gopalpur’s zoo and on to the 9th-century Baijnath Shiv Mandir. The whole loop is gentle and scenic, good for families and elders.
